Center for Environmental Research and Sustainability (CERS)
Center for Environmental Research and Sustainability is an independent, non-profit, research and consultancy institute working on environmental sustainability, disaster risk reduction and climate resilience at local, national and regional levels. Founded in 2026 by six researchers, CERS was established to bridge scientific research with practical, field-level implementation for the sustainable development of Bangladesh and beyond.
CERS works under ten broad Programs, Geographic Information System, Remote Sensing, Database ICT and System Management, Water Resources Management, Climate Change and Disaster Management, Ecology, Forestry and Biodiversity, Agriculture and Fisheries, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Engineering Design, and Socio-economic and Institutional, delivering integrated research and consultancy services under each.

A resilient and sustainable Bangladesh where environmental research directly informs policy, planning and grassroots practice, ensuring balanced development for present and future generations.
Our Misson
To conduct high-quality, multidisciplinary research and provide practical consultancy services in environment, disaster management, climate change, water resources and natural resource governance, working closely with government bodies, development partners, NGOs and local communities to translate knowledge into action.
